Go to the Living, my first collection of poetry, was published by the Inlandia Institute in Spring 2017. I teach writing at San Bernardino Valley College and perform daily dramatic readings of Sendak and Seuss as the librarian of Henry Elementary Visual and Performing Arts Academy. I am available for readings, workshops, skype sessions with classes and any other poetic service you might need.
Good picture! Has your school won any awards?

Thank you! Yes, Henry VAPA has won the Renaissance National Honor Roll for Reading two years in a row, largely due to my coordination of the Accelerated Reader program. I have also been awarded a Distinguished Educator Award from Renaissance. I believe that, as much as possible, an elementary librarian should should see himself more as a reading educator than as keeper of the collection, or collector of fines. Besides their teacher, elementary librarians are the most visible authority on reading students see every week, and have incredible power to impress a love of reading and good reading habits on them.
